Diamond Children's Medical Center offers a number of new programs and services to Southern Arizona. These include a dedicated children's emergency department, pediatric cancer and bone marrow unit, extended-stay intensive care for long-term patients and a classroom where long-term patients can continue their education.

The center also consolidates a wide variety of pediatric programs, including diabetes services, blood marrow and hematology oncology services, trauma, cardiac surgery, organ transplants, cystic fibrosis services, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), renal dialysis, artificial heart implantation and epilepsy testing.
